The Domaine de la Vallongue is situated in the heart of the exceptional site of the Alpilles Chain. Originally, La Vallongue was a farm (a French "Mas") and then was a country hunting house.

In 1962, Mr. Philippe PAUL-CAVALLIER, fell in love of this lovely site and decided to plant vines. He bought so the 38 hectares (93,89 acres)domain where he decided to set up the first organic farming in the south-east area.

In 1970, the cellar was built and the such expected first production arrived in 1971.

The Domaine was classed in a "Vin limité de Qualité Supérieure" (Limited high quality wine) area. The Domaine then, obtain in 1985 a certification « Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence-Les Baux ». That was one of it most gratifying reward since the creation of the exploitation.

In 1994, Rouge and Rose wines wines were gratifying by the "Appellation d'origine contrôlée" French certification. Moreover, the same year saw the "Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence" certification granted for White wines.

In 2006, certain types of Red and Rose obtain the "Vin de pays des Alpilles" gratificication.
